CU countries to create single unified system of technical regulation by Jan 1, 2012 - I. Shuvalov
MOSCOW. March 25. KAZINFORM /Narymbek Ismagulov/ The countries of the Customs Union will develop a single system of technical regulation by January 1, 2010. First Vice Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Igor Shuvalov said in the course of the International conference Technical regulation 2012. Instruments of formation of Single Economic Space in Moscow Thursday.
As Shuvalov said, the system of technical regulation can serve both as an impulse and a barrier for interaction among the CU member countries.
The experience of the EU and other countries was considered and discussed in order to harmonize the Russian legislation, Shuvalov informed. Thus, the analysis of the EU policy in technical regulation allowed improving national legislations of Kazakhstan and Belarus. The Government of Russia decided to admit 13 technical rules as internal norms of the RF.
According to him, the Russian side plans to prepare its legislation in compliance with the experience of the EU, Kazakhstan and Belarus. "By January 1, 2012 the CU countries will create single unified system of technical regulation", Shuvalov noted.
