CSTO plans Collective Rapid Response Force exercise in 2014

MOSCOW. January 22. KAZINFORM The Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) plans a comprehensive exercise of the Collective Rapid Response Force in 2014. It is expected the exercise will take place in Kazakhstan, CSTO Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha told a press conference on 21 January, BelTA has learnt.

Several more exercises and counterdrug operations will be held in 2014. In particular, special forces will drill combat readiness training. "We are discussing the time and venue for the exercises," the CSTO Secretary General said.

In his words, six large-scale international exercises were held in 2013 as part of cooperation between the CSTO member states. All kinds of armed forces were involved. Nikolai Bordyuzha took a special note of West 2013 exercise which took place in Belarus, BelTA reports.
