CSTO Permanent Council to hold first visiting session in Kyrgyzstan 15-16 April
MOSCOW. April 13. KAZINFORM The first visiting session of the Permanent Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) will be held at air base No. 999 of the Russian Defense Ministry in Kant, Kyrgyzstan, on 15-16 April, BelTA learnt from CSTO Spokesperson Vladimir Zainetdinov.
The session will review the status of implementation of the CSTO Collective Security Council decisions concerning the development of CSTO's military dimension and collective measures aimed at the improvement of the border security system of the CSTO member states.
The meeting participants will assess the capabilities of air base No. 999 which serves as the air component of the CSTO Collective Forces in Central Asia. Members of the CSTO Permanent Council and the CSTO officials will also visit the Kyrgyz Armed Forces unit which is part of the CSTO Rapid Response Force of the Central Asian region.
Participating in the session will be members of the Permanent Council, Secretary General of the CSTO Nikolai Bordyuzha, Military Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff Lieutenant-General Alexander Studenikin, Secretary of the Defense Council of Kyrgyzstan Busurmankul Tabaldiyev, Vice Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Shamil Atakhanov, Defense Minister of Kyrgyzstan Taalaybek Omuraliev and Ambassadors Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the CSTO member states to Kyrgyzstan, BelTA informs.
