CSTO Permanent Council discusses information policy

MOSCOW. June 17. KAZINFORM Draft documents concerning the coordination of information policy of the members of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) were reviewed at a session of the CSTO Permanent Council in Moscow on 17 June, the Belarusian Embassy in Russia informed.

The session also discussed the draft documents concerning the implementation of a number of additional measures to counter the challenges and threats coming from the territory of Afghanistan. Measures aimed at the improvement of the funding of the CSTO's activities were discussed, too, kazinform refers to BelTA.

"The Belarusian side updated the session on its participation in the activities to boost international security," the press service noted.

Partaking in the session were Belarus' Plenipotentiary Representative to the CSTO, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Russia Igor Petrishenko, CSTO Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha, representatives of the CSTO Joint Staff and heads of departments of the CSTO Secretariat.
