CSTO heads of state adopted declaration and statement on organization's peacekeeping forces
ASTANA. December 10. KAZINFORM Head of the State Nursultan Nazarbayev took part in the session of the CSTO Collective Security Council in Moscow on Friday; the Presidential press service told Kazinform.
The heads of state considered the measures aimed at increasing efficiency of the organization's crisis response mechanism and creation of adequate conditions for rapid assistance to each other in crisis situations.
Besides, the presidents discussed draft documents regulating the status of forces and mechanisms of the collective security system.
Upon the results of the session the CSTO heads of state adopted a declaration and a statement on peacekeeping forces of the CSTO.
During the session the Republic of Belarus took over the chairmanship in the CSTO Collective Security Council from the Russian Federation.
