CSTO Council deems appropriate to invite international representatives to its sessions
MINSK. September 15. KAZINFORM The CSTO Permanent Council believes it expedient to invite representatives of international organizations to its sessions, BelTA learnt from spokesman for the CSTO Secretariat Vladimir Zainetdinov; Kazinform refers to BelTa.
In his words, the decision was taken on 13 September after the CSTO Permanent Council session was attended by Janez Lenarcic, Director of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (OSCE/ODIHR). He updated the meeting participants on the OSCE/ODIHR activity and priorities. The participants also stressed the practice of inviting representatives of such organizations to the OSCE Permanent Council meetings should be continued.
The session hosted by Belarus' representative Oleg Ivanov was attended by OSCE Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha; Kazinform cites BelTa.
