The meeting was focused on the forthcoming July session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly that will take place in Monaco and on working out a strategy for cooperation at the session. Participants of the meeting decided to call upon OSCE member states to adopt a charter of the organization.

The meeting participants also worked out a common view on OSCE reformation, discussed draft OSCE Parliamentary Assembly resolutions “Freedom of travels in OSCE area” and “Effectiveness of ODIHR efforts in monitoring elections in OSCE member states”.

It was stressed the delegations of the CSTO member states support initiatives aimed at improving the transparency and effectiveness of OSCE decision making on the basis of sovereign equality of countries and the rule of consensus.

It was deemed necessary to work out mechanisms to prepare and submit prompt CSTO parliamentary resolutions to respond to acute issues on the international agenda, including by means of preparing OSCE Parliamentary Assembly resolutions to condemn warmongers.
