CSTO chiefs of general staffs to discuss military development guidelines
MOSCOW. August 28. KAZINFORM Chiefs of the general staffs of the member states of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) will discuss the main development directions of the organization's military component. Their meeting will take place in Moscow on 28 August, CSTO Press Secretary Vladimir Zainetdinov told BelTA.
Participants of the meeting will also discuss ways to improve the CSTO collective security system, results of inspections of the troops detached by the CSTO member states to make up the collective rapid response forces and peacemaking forces, BelTA reports.
The meeting will be chaired by Saken Zhasuzakov, Chief of the CSTO United Staff, First Deputy Defense Minister, Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff Committee of the Kazakh Defense Ministry. CSTO Secretary General Nikolai Bordiuzha will also take part in the session.
