Crude oil export duty rate changed in Kazakhstan

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Kazakhstan has changed the rate of export duty on crude oil, the press office of the Department of Customs Control of the South Kazakhstan region.

"Kazakhstan Government's decree "On amendments to the Government Resolution as of June 7, 2010 № 520 "On rates of customs duties of Republic of Kazakhstan" has made changes to the rate of crude oil export duties", the statement reads. Beginning from March 12, the rate of export duty on crude oil amounted to USD 80 for 1 metric ton. Furthermore, from March 2 of the current year the list of petroleum products subjected to export duties enlarged. Thus, the export duty of all kinds of petroleum oils, waste oils and bituminous mixtures amounted to USD 112.59 per 1 metric ton.
