Crucial to update priorities for socio-humanitarian institutes - President
ASTANA. September 4. KAZINFORM. /Aigul Tulekbayeva/ "State-run socio-humanitarian scientific institutes should satisfy modern requirements. Kazakhstan's public conscience is in a kind of ideological vacuum, it needs better quality of ideological work aimed at engendering a sense of patriotism, forming positive socially significant values", the Kazakhstan President has said at the sitting of the Council of Science and Scientific Policy today.
The Head of the State urged to correct the tasks and priorities of activity of the socio-humanitarian institutes - Institute of Philosophy and Politology, the Margulan Institute of Archaeology, the Suleimenov Institute of Oriental Studies, the Valikhanov Institute of History and Ethnology, the Auezov Institute of Literature and Art and etc. "They should concentrate on the development of modern culture and values of Kazakhstan", he noted.
N. Nazarbayev also stressed the institutes should study the current socio-economic processes, contemporary history of independent Kazakhstan, its role and status on the world arena.
