Crucial to join efforts of int'l community on situation stabilization in Kyrgyzstan - P.Morel

EU Special Representative for Central Asia Pierre Morel has said it to journalists following results of the visit to the region.

According to him, the Kyrgyz situation remains very tense. A massive flow of refugees is continuing. The events in Kyrgyzstan are an unprecedented accident in Central Asia. In this connection and taking into account the current situation, the all interested sides must join efforts on provision of assistance to this country. "It is necessary to organize assistance delivery, its security, and to guarantee people's access to it" , P.Morel said.

Besides, the international community should avoid assistance duplication and think out a plan of further actions.

In this connection P.Morel proposes to join efforts of the international community on normalization of the situation in Kyrgyzstan involving resources of the EU and the OSCE.
