Crucial to enhance OIC joint efforts in the face of global challenges
ASTANA. June 28. KAZINFORM /Kanat Kulshmanov/ "It is crucial to enhance the activity of the Organization in joining together efforts of the Ummah member states in the face of the global challenges," Nursultan Nazarbayev, the Kazakh President, told today at the Palace of Independence.
"It is essential to enhance the efforts and the institutional role of the Organization in uniting together efforts of all the Ummah member states in the face of the global challenges. The new OIC Charter, adopted in Dakar in 2008, guides us. It urges broadly to attach modernity to the OIC within the context of the OIC management and its reforming, raising efficiency of its bodies.
The Organization needs an efficient body, an institute or a centre to be involved in in-depth forecasts and analytics, and to offer the heads of state a possible case scenario intra-OIC and the worldwide."
