Crucial to boost SCO food security coop, Nursultan Nazarbayev

ASTANA. June 15. KAZINFORM /Sandugash Duissenova/ "It is crucial to enhance cooperation between the SCO member states in the area of food security assurance," Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev said addressing the meeting of the SCO Leadership.
"Today's raw material and energy resources price hikes along with the world consumption growth and natural disasters sent foodstuff prices to rocketing. Consequences of the food crisis may aggravate the social and political situation around the world. Therefore, we have to support international and regional food supply security and take coordinated actions," Nursultan Nazarbayev noted.
