ALMATY. May 21. KAZINFORM /Aigul Turysbekova/ ?It is a crisis time when new creative ideas and irregular solutions arise. The main purpose of the PR Forum held in Almaty is to discuss the current problems and elaborate joint solutions by the leading professionals of the PR sphere?, President of the Kazakh Press Club, partner of PG Communications Assel Karaulova said in an interview to Kazinform.
The V PR Forum is being held in a difficult time which makes it very much valuable for professionals. What are the goals and objectives of the Forum? What is the importance of the Forum for the Kazakh PR sphere?
That is correct, the time is difficult. In this regard our Forum is titled ?Born in crisis. PR Baby Boom?. We view this crisis not as stagnation, but as a source of new opportunities for prosperity and development of the PR-industry and new technologies in Kazakhstan. In five years our Forum has became the biggest and most prestigious professional platform annually visited by over 200 people, including representatives of West and CIS countries. Special internet conference with Head of Samruk Kazyna Fund Kairat Kelimbetov for western and Russian mass media is the key event of the Forum this year.
In the global crisis the reputation of a company and the country in whole is very important. Will there be developed recommendations for our country in order to raise its investment appeal? What are the international tendencies in the PR industry, particularly in Kazakhstan?
Many companies especially at the top management level overestimated the meaning of reputation. The recession revealed the problems of those companies which did not have neatly arranged communications. The main subject of our forum is raising the country?s investment prospects. We expect to hear experts? reports and their recommendations.
The budget cutback impelled many companies to search for new creative instruments. They use internet to promote themselves, direct communications with consumers and communications in points of sale. Demand for antirecessionary communications and strategic plans, special PR trainings for top managers has increased. Many structures reduce staff and search for high-level specialists who can address multiple tasks and work at the decision making level.
You are one of the initiators of the ?PR Club?. What can you say about the significance of the Forum for promotion of the professional level of young and future specialists of this sphere?
We open this Forum with good news ? Kazakhstan?s Ministry of Science and Education has officially introduced the PR profession again in its classifier. Students? competition for the best PR work was held for the seventh time this year. The winners of the competition received the right to speak at the International PR Forum before the professionals. I wish our young specialists professional insistence and impudence in the finest sense of this word.
Thank you for the interview and good luck to the Forum. >
