Control over development institutions transferred from 'Samruk-Kazyna' to relevant Ministries - President
ASTANA. April 17. KAZINFORM /Damir Baimanov/ President Nursultan Nazarbayev transferred control over several development institutions from the National Welfare Fund 'Samruk-Kazyna' to relevant Ministries. It was said at the enlarged session of the Government on April 17.
'The development institutions that are now controlled by the Fund must be controlled by relevant Ministries. The Ministry of Economic Development and Trade will monitor the work of Damu Fund, Ministry of Industry and New Technologies will have to control the work of a group of development banks that includes the Kazyna Capital Management Fund, Investment Fund of Kazakhstan and 'KazExportGrant', the President noted.
The Head of State emphasized that the National Welfare Fund had been very successful in realizing of anti-crisis programs.
'Now the banks' assets should be transferred to the National Bank. I expect suggestions from you regarding them and regarding the ways of defining investors ready to buy these assets,' N. Nazarbayev noted.
'The Board of Directors of the Fund has elected new Chairman Timur Kulibayev. He has to return the activity of the Fund to its primary goals,' the President concluded.
