Contraband seized at Kazakhstan's border
ASTANA. August 9. KAZINFORM A border detachment of the regional command "Ontustik" of the border service of the Kazakh National Security Committee apprehended four Kazakhstan's citizens going to Uzbekistan by two trucks, the press service of the Kazakh National Security Committee reported.
The arrested persons tried to cross the state border illegally. A contraband alcohol weighing about five tons was found in the trucks. On this fact the investigation is underway.
Three days earlier, border detachment of the regional command "Batys" found hiding place with narcotic substances during the examining of the "Khudzhant-Moscow" train. According to the expertise, packages contain heroin weighing more one kilo. On this fact, four persons from Uzbekistan were detained.
Since the beginning of 2012 the Kazakh border guards seized over 110 kilograms of narcotic substances.
