Consultations between Kazakh, Korean Foreign offices held in Seoul

ASTANA. July 22. KAZINFORM  The seventh session of the political consultations between the Foreign Ministries of Kazakhstan and Korea was held Tuesday in Seoul.

The Kazakh party at the negotiations was headed by Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs Nurlan Yermekbayev. Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs Kwon Jong-rak was in the head of the South Korean delegates, the MFA press service said.

The Diplomats discussed the process of realization of the agreements, achieved between the Heads of two states during the official visit of the South Korean Leader to Kazakhstan, and exchanged opinions on the prospects of development of the bilateral cooperation in the political, trade-economic, scientific, technical and cultural spheres. The Korean party said it considers Kazakhstan as an important strategic partner in Central Asia and laid special emphasis on strengthening comprehensive relations within  Korea's "New Asian Diplomacy" plan.

The sides exchanged opinions on a wide spectrum of issues, including interaction within the international organizations, the process of the CICA, the Congress of Leaders of World and Traditional Religions and others. The sides agreed on making additional efforts on analysis and extension of the contractual bases of cooperation between the two states as well.
