Construction of water development facility completed in Aktau
AU. July 24. KAZINFORM /Anargul Tolegenova/ New water development facilities will be launched in Aktau harbor as breakwater and bulwark; Kazinform correspondent reports.
Construction of the breakwater and bulwark has been started in 2006. The total cost of the project amounted to KZT 11 340.6 mln. The construction of the bulwark is completed.
The breakwater will be ready in October this year. The project is expected to give 364 new jobs. The implementation of the project will let Aktau harbor increase the volume of oil and dry cargo ship transportation up to two times.
According to Head of the IT-development and Marketing Research Department of "AMMTP" Ruslan Sigaliev the project is aimed at development of infrastructure of the harbor, creation of new jobs, increase of export of raw material, oil production as well as incomes to the state budget.
The project on development of the Aktau International Sea and Trade Harbor is expected to be completed till the end of 2013.
