Construction of three energy efficiency centers to be finished this year

ASTANA. August 27. KAZINFORM - The construction of three energy efficiency centers in the cities of Astana, Almaty and Aktobe will be completed this year, Kazakh First Vice Minister of Regional Development Kairbek Uskenbayev has said today at a meeting of the Government, Kazakh Prime Minister's web-site reports.

"According to the President’s instruction, the construction of three energy centers in the cities of Astana, Almaty and Aktobe is underway. The purpose is to create a platform for the demonstration and promotion of energy-saving and energy-efficient technologies and materials This year the construction will be completed, and we plan to purchase equipment next year," he said.

He noted that data centers will be designed not only to promote and implement innovative Energy Saving technology, but will be engaged in the commercialization of energy-efficient technologies and designs.

The centers will also carry out consultancy and training in the field of energy efficient technologies, transfer of modern technologies in the field of energy saving and organize a permanent exhibition of innovative energy-efficient technologies, equipment and materials.

In addition, they will enable the integration of science and industry in the field of energy saving.

"It is planned that the centers of energy efficiency will be the major targets for the visit in the framework of EXPO 2017 in Astana and will demonstrate the vector of development of the country's economy in the sphere of housing and communal services," the Vice Minister concluded.
