Construction of North-East-South power line kicks off in Kazakhstan

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Construction of a 500Volt North-East-South transit power line has kicked off in Kazakhstan on Wednesday.
It was launched during the Astana-hosted teleconference with the participation of President Nursultan Nazarbayev. KEGOC JSC is responsible for the construction of the 1500km-long power line that will link Semey city and East Kazakhstan region. It will have enough energy to power the entire southern Kazakhstan and Almaty region.
