Confirmed A/H1N1 swine flu cases worldwide top 10,000, with 80 deaths

MOSCOW. May 20. KAZINFORM A total of 10,243 people in 41 countries worldwide have been officially diagnosed with the A/H1N1 virus as of 06:00 GMT Wednesday, with 80 deaths, the World Health Organization said in its daily report; Kazinform refers to RIA Novosti.

The number of laboratory-confirmed cases rose by 413, and one person died in the previous 24 hours. New cases have been registered in the United States (346), Japan (51), Panama (6), Spain (4), Peru (1), Poland (1) Chile (1), Colombia (1), France (1). Greece, with one registered case, became the 41st country to report an infection.
