Conference on improvement of business environment in Kazakhstan held in Almaty
ALMATY. June 26. KAZINFORM /Serik Koibagarov/ "Reforms on improvement of the business environment in Kazakhstan: process of realization and prospects" Conference has been held today in Almaty. The Conference was organized by the Kazakh Government, the World Bank and the USAID.
Within the last 12 months Kazakhstan held reforms on facilitation of conduct of business. As Kazakh Minister of Economy and Budget Planning Bakhyt Sultanov said at the conference, one of the main priorities of the Kazakh Government is establishment of new format of mutually beneficial and partner relations between the state and the private sector. He said that the Government pays special attention to the development of entrepreneurship and improvement of the business environment within the cooperation with advanced world experience.
A working group on improvement of Kazakhstan's positions in World Bank's rating "Doing business" is acting from November 2008 under the leadership of the Kazakh Deputy Minister. The group includes all interested state bodes. Five expert groups on improvement of rating's indicators were established as well. The Minister complimented the efficiency of the groups' activity.
Permanent Representative of the World Bank in Kazakhstan Sergei Shatalov noted the advance in the spheres of special importance for the Kazakh economy. He expressed assurance in successful cooperation with all interested sides in the coming new cycle of "Doing business".
The heads of the expert groups reported on the results of held work and told about new tasks. Results of their activity were complemented by the experts of the World Bank and the USAID.
