Conference on combating drugs to be held in Vienna at Kazakhstan's initiative
NNA. July 7. KAZINFORM /Timur Bekturganov/ At the initiative of Kazakhstan's chairmanship in the OSCE Vienna will host a conference on the issues of activation of international struggle against drugs on July 8-9; the organization's press service informs.
The representatives of the OSCE's 56 member states, including the anti-drug structures and authoritative international experts in this field will discuss the prospects of strengthening cooperation both within the framework of the OSCE and in the format of interaction with other international institutes and key regional partners.
The issue on improvement of mechanisms for combating Afghan drug trafficking and production of synthetic drugs in Europe is on the agenda as well.
The Kazakh delegation will he headed by Internal Affairs Minister Serik Baimaganbetov.
