During the last year the experts of the three countries discussed the issues related to the electricity sector. Prior to July 1, 2015 there will be developed a concept of creating a common energy market. Prior to July 1, 2016 the program will be worked out to form a common electric energy market. Before July 1, 2019 the member-states will conclude an international treaty establishing the common energy market of the Eurasian Economic Union. Dzhaksaliyev noted that the energy sector of Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus is historically integrated. However, it is too early to speak about the common electric energy market due to the different existing models of the three states.
