Cold snap heading to southern Kazakhstan
The cold anticyclone will persist in northern Kazakhstan from October 15 to 17. Residents of the south of the country will also feel the cold breath of approaching winter, Kazinform News Agency has learned from Kazhydromet.
Despite the cessation of precipitation, temperature is forecast to drop to minus values at night in the north. However, the temperature will range between +5 and +10°C in the daytime on October 17.
The anticyclone will bring the temperature down at night and during the day while moving to the east. Rain and snow are to batter the mountainous area, as well as the southeastern regions of Kazakhstan.
It should be noted that on October 11, adverse weather conditions resulted in the closure of certain roads in the North Kazakhstan and Akmola regions.
