Claude Monet's Water Lilies sell for almost €40 million

ASTANA. KAZINFORM - Claude Monet's painting The Nympheas (Water Lilies) was sold at the Sotheby's auction in London for nearly £32 million (€39.7 milion), Euromag.ru says.
Anonymous buyer forked out nearly €40 million for the work by French-born Monet. It was the second highest price ever paid for the artist at auction.
The other top-priced painting was a Piet Mondrian 1927 Composition with Red, Blue and Grey.
