CIS to discuss draft documents for CIS Heads of State Council session
MINSK. July 4. KAZINFORM Draft documents for the forthcoming sessions of the CIS Heads of State Council and the CIS Foreign Ministers Council slated for September in Dushanbe will be in the focus of the permanent plenipotentiary representatives in the CIS bodies on 5 July. The meeting will take place in Minsk, BelTA learnt from the CIS Executive Committee press service.
According to BelTA, at the Dushanbe summit the CIS heads of state are expected to adopt a joint statement to mark the 20th anniversary of the CIS foundation. They are also set to adopt an analytical report, Results of the CIS 20-Year Activity and Future Goals.
Besides, the heads of state and foreign ministers of the CIS countries will consider and take decisions on cooperation against illegal migration, logistical support of counterterrorism units, training specialists for counterterrorism units. Special attention will be attached to the issues of perpetuating the memory of courage and heroism of the CIS people during the Great Patriotic War.
The council of permanent plenipotentiaries will also consider proposals to the draft agenda of the CIS Heads of Government Council which is due to take place in St Petersburg in October this year, the press service noted.
