CIS to create mechanism for protection of social rights

MINSK. February 29. KAZINFORM The head of the complex analysis and coordination office of the Belarusian Labor and Social Security Ministry Valery Kovalkov is taking part in the meeting of the CIS working group to develop a plan of measures for implementation of a concept of a coordinated social and demographical policy of the CIS member states, BelTA informs.

According to BelTA, Valery Kovalkov said that Belarus has also contributed to the draft plan by suggesting several ideas in labor migration, healthcare and environmental protection.

"We hope that work will be fruitful and the adopted documents will be implemented by all CIS countries, which will make our citizens more protected," said the expert.

The concept was worked out to create a mechanism for protection of social rights in the CIS. This mechanism includes economic, political, legal and administrative instruments, which helps to minimize the cases when human rights are violated. The document includes the general description of social and demographic situation, priorities of coordinated social and demographic policy, its major areas, social protection, healthcare, demography, ecology, migration and creation of favorable socio-cultural environment.
