CIS supreme audit bodies to meet in Kyiv on 8 September
MINSK. September 7. KAZINFORM - The CIS Council of Heads of Supreme Audit Institutions is set to discuss its role in monitoring the use of public funds allocated to prevent and mitigate the consequences of the natural and technogenic catastrophes. The council's 11th session will take place in Kyiv on 8-9 September, BelTA learnt from the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.
According to BelTA, apart from this, the members of the council will consider the results of their work between the sessions as well as the implementation of the key national parameters by the group of experts and development of state financial control standards for the CIS supreme audit bodies. The meeting participants will outline an action plan for the near future and decide on the venue and date for the next session.
The CIS Council of Heads of Supreme Audit Institutions has been set up to step up cooperation in state financial control and experience sharing. The council is an independent nonpolitical organization conducting activities in line with the principles of the International Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (INTOSAI), the European Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (EUROSAI), and the Asian Organization of Supreme Audit Organizations (ASOSAI). The council cooperates independently with international organizations of supreme audit institutions, working bodies of the CIS Executive Committee, other international governmental and non-governmental structures.
