CIS states to discuss joint measures on overcoming financial crisis
SAINT PETERSBURG. September 15. KAZINFORM /Yelena Myagkova/ III session of the Permanent Council of CIS Ministers of Finance is to open in Moscow today. Ministers of Economy and heads of central (national) banks of the CIS countries are invited to the event.
The agenda of the sitting includes two issues: propositions of the CIS countries regarding joint measures on overcoming negative consequences of the global financial crisis and coordination of joint approaches to overcoming the consequences of the financial crisis to the upcoming summit of G20 in Pittsburg (USA) scheduled for September 24-25, 2009.
Vice Chairman of the Russian Government Alexey Kudrin will address the participants with a welcoming speech. CIS Ministers of Finance will make reports on the propositions of the CIS states.
The session participants will also focus of a plan of realization of the CIS joint measures on coming out from the crisis developed by the Russian Ministry of Finance.
A. Kudrin will also inform the participants of the decisions adopted at the session of the G20 Ministers of Finance held in London September 4-5, 2009 and the problems to be discussed at the forthcoming G20 summit on September 24-25, 2009 in Pittsburg.
