CIS leaders will ink agr't on protection of classified information
ASTANA. October 21. KAZINFORM - In Minsk on 24-25 October, President Nursultan Nazarbayev will be taking part in the next meeting of the Supreme Eurasian Economic Council and the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
This has been announced today at a press briefing by the spokesman for the Service of Central Communications Altai Abibullayev.
"In the framework of the Eurasian Economic Council Kazakhstan intends to discuss current problems and prospects of development of the Customs Union. It is to endorse important decisions regarding the members and staff of the Eurasian Economic Commission Board, as well as implementing the commission's budget for the year 2012", he said
According to him, at a meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the CIS as a whole it is expected to consider 14 topics. Following the meeting there will be signed important agreements, in particular the one concerning protection of classified information, as well as the formation of the Interstate Council for Anti-Corruption.
"The focus of the Heads of State will be on decision to declare 2015 the Year of the CIS veterans of the Great Patriotic War and other collaborative arrangements for celebration of the whole 70th anniversary of the Great Victory ", Abibullayev added.
Also in anticipation of meetings of heads of state in Minsk, October 24 , with the participation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Erlan Idrissov and Defense Minister Adilbek Dzhaksybekov it is planned to hold regular meetings of the Council of Foreign Ministers and the Council of Defense Ministers of the CIS.
