CIS introduces chairmanship institution

SHANBE. September 3. KAZINFORM /Arnur Mukhametkarim/ During his speech at a meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State and Government CIS Executive Secretary Sergey Lebedev has announced that chairmanship will be introduced in the CIS from 2012.
"It was decided that from January 1, 2012 Turkmenistan will chair the bodies of the Commonwealth of Independent States," the executive Secretary said.
According to him, at the suggestion of President of Turkmenistan G.Berdymukhammedov, the next session of the CIS Council of Heads of State will be held in the first decade of November, 2012.
