CIS foreign ministers to discuss social, demographic policies
MINSK. September 2. KAZINFORM A draft concept of the CIS social and demographic policies will be high on the agenda of the meeting of the CIS Foreign Ministers Council in Dushanbe on 2 September, BelTA learnt from the Labor and Social Security Ministry.
The concept was drafted by a taskforce of experts from the CIS Advisory Board on Labor, Migration and Social Security. The draft concept was practically approved at the 23rd meeting of the Advisory Board in Minsk in June 2010 under the chairmanship of Labor and Social Security Minister Marianna Shchetkina.
The finalized and coordinated document will be submitted to the CIS Foreign Ministers Council.
BelTA has reported earlier that the Belarusian delegation would be led by Foreign Minister Sergei Martynov. The session will focus on a wide range of issues regarding economic, political, military and humanitarian cooperation. All the documents approved by the foreign ministers will be submitted for approval to the CIS heads of state; Kazinform cites BelTA.
