CIS, European parliamentarians adopted Declaration condemning Nazis glorification

ST.PETERSBURG. April 8. KAZINFORM /Yelena Myagkova/ The parliamentarians of the CIS and Europe adopted Declaration condemning Nazis glorification and persecution of veterans in some countries at the conference dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The document writes that "demonstration of double standards policy in estimation of the results of the World War II affects the interstate relations, undermining the unity of the world community before modern challenges and threats".

The parliamentarians condemned acts of vandalism, destruction of memorials of the Great Patriotic War, recognizing these facts as disrespect to the heroic feats of those who defended motherland and protected Europe from Nazi enslavement.

The Declaration recommends states to take measures on combating the ideology and practice of the modern extremism, demonstration of neo-nazism.

Delegations from Armenia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Ukraine, Moldavia, Tajikistan and other countries and representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of the European Council, CSTO, Interparliamentary Assembly of the EurAsEC, Russian Foreign Ministry and veterans of the Great Patriotic War took part in the conference.
