CIS, EurAsEC, CSTO, SCO top officials to meet in Moscow 22 November
MINSK. November 19. KAZINFORM The second meeting of top officials of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), the Eurasian Economic Community (EurAsEC), the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) will take place in Moscow on 22 November, BelTA learnt from the CIS Executive Committee.
Partaking in the summit will be Chairman of the Executive Committee, the CIS Executive Secretary Sergei Lebedev, EurAsEC Secretary General Tair Mansurov, CSTO Secretary General Nikolai Bordyuzha, SCO Secretary General Muratbek Imanaliyev.
Participants will share information about priority areas of the development of the organizations and exchange views on current issues in international politics. The meeting will focus on the issues relating to the strengthening of security and stability, countering of new challenges and threats, migration policy, emergency response.
A meeting of top administrative officials of these organizations was first held in October 2010. It discussed the situation in the Eurasian region and approaches to ensuring security and stability in this region; Kazinform cites BelTA.
