CIS energy systems synchronization discussed in Almaty
ALMATY. May 27. KAZINFORM /Yelena Ilyinskaya/ The issues of interoperability of CIS energy systems have been discussed at the regular 39th sitting of CIS Electric Energy Council on Friday in Almaty.
The session is chaired by Kazakh Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Industry and New Technologies Asset Issekeshev and Russian Energy Minister Sergey Shmatko.
The attendees summed up the results of work of the national energy systems of the CIS during the autumn-winter season 2010-2011. The also discussed the results of the Council's activity from 1992 till 2011 and main directions of cooperation between CIS member states in the field of power energy.
According to Kazakh Vice Minister of Industry and New Technologies D. Turganov, information and experience exchange is very important for the synchronization of the CIS energy systems. Among the achievements of Kazakhstan's electric power industry the Vice Minister called rapid increase of production and supply of electricity to all energy facilities.
