CIS Council of Heads of State to consider implementation of Free Trade Zone treaty

ST-PETERSBURG. November 20. KAZINFORM - Course of implementation of the Contract of free trade zone will consider at meeting of CIS Council of Heads of State, which will take place on Wednesday, November 20, in St. Petersburg, Primeminister.kz reported citing the plenipotentiary representative of Kazakhstan in the Commission on economic problems at CIS Economic Council Oleg Peskov.

"The report purpose is to provide to heads of governments information on implementation of the accepted obligations by participants of the Contract. It is possible to carry to their number and use of special protective, anti-dumping and countervailing measures in mutual trade, and also observance of terms of cancellation of withdrawals of the customs duties on import," O. Peskov explained.

In October, 2011 the Contract of free trade zone was signed by Kazakhstan, Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Armenia, Moldova, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan. Later Uzbekistan joined the Contract.

Discussion of changes in the Agreement on Rules of definition of the country of goods' origin in the CIS becomes one more important question, according to the plenipotentiary representative. The decision on creation and use of electronic system of certification of goods origin in CIS countries can become one of innovations of this document.

"Within the summit also it is planned to accept the Concept of cooperation of the participating states of the CIS in the field of use of the renewables and the Plan of priority actions on its realization," Peskov added .

He noted that with "the accounting of available capacity of CIS countries need of multilateral cooperation objectively increases in renewables in the field".

"Within the Plan of prime measures improvement of the mechanism of interaction and coordination in renewables, development and implementation of joint projects, scientific programs is provided. Besides, it is planned to expand information exchange and to provide knowledge base formation on this subject," Peskov emphasized.
