Cirque du Soleil to invest up to $50 million in Russia program

VANCOUVER. February 26. KAZINFORM Canada's internationally renowned Cirque du Soleil plans to expand its activities in Russia, investing $30-50 million and creating a permanent show in the country, the vice chairman of the circus's Russian office said Thursday, Kazinform refers to RIA Novosti.

The Cirque du Soleil made its first performance in the Russian capital last fall.

Craig Cohon said in Vancouver's Russia House that three shows - in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Kazan - are planned.
