CICA military-diplomatic experts met in Almaty
ALMATY. February 8. KAZINFORM The first meeting of the Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA) has been completed in Almaty. Representatives of the foreign ministries and defense ministries of 15 countries took part in it; the press service of the Kazakh Ministry of Defense reported.
The event was held in order to execute the instructions of President Nursultan Nazarbayev on development and strengthening of cooperation in the military-political dimension.
Deputy Minister of Defense Bagdad Maikeyev headed a Kazakh delegation. He proposed to start cooperation between the CICA countries on some confidence-building measures within the military-political dimension.
The meeting participants supported the confidence-building measures initiated by the Kazakh side.
