Chubais survives traffic accident in southwest of Moscow unhurt

Chubais was in an office car that left the Rosnano office at around 6.30 pm Tuesday. Chubais' car equipped with a flash light and a siren had been moving on a reserve lane down Namyotkina street heading towards Profsoyuznaya street when a jeep, that had been moving in the same direction, suddenly turned left and rolled on across two road marking lines. Although Chubais' car abruptly braked it failed to avoid collision.

After Anatoly Chubais made sure that the jeep's driver was unhurt and was able to walk he got into another car and moved on, Rosnano press service said. A traffic police patrol was immediately summoned to the site of the accident.

Specified reports said six cars were involved in the traffic accident. There were no casualties, a police official said. It also said that Chubais, who used a car of his deputy director, had been moving down a lane for the oncoming traffic in volition of traffic rules and collided with the jeep, whose driver also violated traffic rules and attempted to make a round turn, trespassing the road marking lines, Kazinform cites Itar-Tass.
