Chinese FM invited to CICA Foreign Ministers' meeting
ASTANA. July 16. KAZINFORM Kazakh Ambassador Nurlan Yermekbayev and his Turkey colleague Salim Yessenli met with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of China Chen Gopin in Beijing, the press service of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry informs.
Yermakbayev and Yessenli handed over invitation to Minister of Foreign Affairs of China Yang Jiechi to participate in a meeting of the Council of Foreign Ministers of Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA) on 12 September 2012 in Astana.
Kazakh Ambassador noted this session will be held on the 20th anniversary of the CICA meeting convening.
N. Yermakbayev touched upon the issues of activating China's participation in the CICA and possible chairmanship in the future.
In turn, Chen Gopin noted China gives an extensive support to the activity of the forum.
