China's CMEC to help Kazakhstan build glyphosate factory

WANNING. KAZINFORM "The United Chemical Company plans to build in Kazakhstan a glyphosate factory jointly with China's CMEC (China Machinery Engineering Corporation)," head of Samruk Kazyna Holding Umirzak Shukeyev said at the meeting with Jin Chunsheng, CMEC Vice President.

The up-to-date factory will be built on the ground of the Taraz Chemical Park free economic zone. The project initial cost is USD 250 mln. CMEC proposed Kazakhstan glyphosate production technologies meeting the world standards. The parties are expected soon to sign the corresponding agreement.

Founded in 1978, CMEC is the first large engineering and trade company in China, and a member of China National Machinery Industry Corporation.
