China - most important trading partner of Kazakhstan: N.Nazarbayev
BEIJING. February 22. KAZINFORM /Ruslan Suleimenov/ Head of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev takes part in a working breakfast with representatives of the business community of China.
Chinese Commerce Minister Chen Deming opened the meeting, involving the Kazakh delegation, headed by President N.Nazarbayev, and the representatives of the Chinese business community.
Vice Premier of China Wang Qishan noted that he was ready to strengthen and upgrade the trade and economic ties of the two countries.
The President of Kazakhstan, in his turn, emphasized that our relations have been actively developing on the basis of the strategic partnership agreement. "We attach great importance to our relations with China which is the most important trading partner of Kazakhstan. Our trade turnover has increased 13 times in a decade, and we are the second trading partner of China in the post-soviet space following Russia," the President said.
"The result and main achievement of my visit will be a solution of two topical issues which are cooperation in the nuclear energy sphere and construction of the high-speed railway of over 1000 km length between Astana and Almaty. This will be a good beginning of a new cooperation stage," N.Nazarbayev said.
