China, Kazakhstan to bring their partnership to new level - Nazarbayev

The Head of State reminded that the Chinese President is the first international leader to visit Kazakhstan after the early presidential elections in April. "Thus, you have proved the high status and importance of our relations. I'm thankful for your congratulations and the visit, we really appreciate it," Nursultan Nazarbayev said at the meeting. The Kazakh leader especially stressed that maintaining good neighbor relations with the People's Republic of China is the priority of Kazakhstan's foreign policy. "Throughout the years of interaction, we have managed to dramatically transform our bilateral cooperation," the Kazakh President pointed out. "After declaring Kazakhstan's independence, we have started working with China and have become good neighbors and friends, constructive economic and political partners," Nazarbayev noted. "I'm confident that we have all conditions in place for further development of our relations in the best interests of our countries," the Head of State concluded.
