China GDP grows 7.4% in July-Sept. qtr, slowest growth in 3 yrs

BEIJING. October 18. KAZINFORM China's economy grew 7.4 percent in the July-September quarter from a year earlier, down from a 7.6 percent expansion in the previous quarter and marking the lowest rate of growth in three years, according to government data released Thursday.
It marked the seventh straight quarter of deceleration in growth of China's gross domestic product, increasing uncertainty over the outlook of the world economy., Kyodo reports.
The slower growth, which, however, was in line with market forecasts, was attributable to shrinking exports in the wake of the European debt crisis and sluggish domestic demand stemming from the imposition of property market regulation.
