China achieves first-ever land recovery of rocket first stage
China successfully recovered the first stage of a carrier rocket on land for the first time on August 19, marking a major step forward in the development of reusable rocket technology, Qazinform News Agency cites Xinhua.
The reusable rocket Zhuque-3 lifted off at 7:35 am Beijing time (4:35 am Astana time) from the Dongfeng commercial space innovation pilot zone in northwest China.
The first stage landed on land as planned, with the mission declared a complete success.
The mission marked China's first successful controlled landing of a carrier rocket's first stage on land using deployable landing legs, representing a significant breakthrough in the country's reusable rocket technology.
Earlier, it was reported that Uzbekistan launched its first remote sensing satellite.
