The check-out in regions and towns during March 7-16 resulted in 98, 021 more people in the register. ?Today the population of Kazakhstan counts 16, 402, 861 . The urban population is 50.4% , rural ? 49.6%; 47.9% are males and 52.1% are females?, Vice Chairman of Kazakhstan?s Statistics Agency Nurman Bayanov stated. ?The exact number of population will be reported in September 2009?, he added.
