Chairman of People's Republic of China Hu Jintao to visit Kazakhstan
BEIJING. June 4. KAZINFORM ./Ruslan Suleimenov/ The upcoming visit of Chairman of the People's Republic of China Hu Jintao to Central Asian region is of great importance for stimulation of sustainable, healthy and stable development of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization as well as for development of China-Kazakhstan and China-Uzbekistan bilateral relations. Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of China Cheng Guoping said it Friday, June 4.
"China considers Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan good neighbors and important partners. China as well as these two countries support deep friendship, pragmatic cooperation and close personal contacts", the Chinese Diplomat noted.
According to him, strengthening and development of political trust and friendly cooperation of China with Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan are the major directions of the PRC policy since this meets common interests of all three countries.
As Cheng Guoping stressed, Hu Jintao's visit would contribute to the process of building "harmonious" region characterized with stable peace and joint prosperity.
Hu Jintao will visit Uzbekistan on 9-11 at the invitation of President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov during which he is expected to take part in the 10th session of the Council of the SCO Heads of State in Tashkent. On June 11-12 the Chairman of the People's Republic of China will visit Kazakhstan at the invitation of President Nursultan Nazarbayev.
