Chairman of Majilis met with Ambassador of Iran to Kazakhstan Gorban Seyfi
ASTANA. June 22. KAZINFORM /Muratbek Makulbekov/ - Chairman of the Majilis of the Kazakh Parliament Ural Mukhamedzhanov met with Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Islamic Republic of Iran Gorban Seyfi, the press-office of the Majilis informs.
The policies of both countries aimed at ensuring active bilateral relations were complimented. The interlocutors also emphasized the potential for strengthening of cooperation at the regional and international levels as well.
At negotiations they also discussed the importance of the OSCE Summit, Kazakhstan's presidency in the Organization and in particular settlement of protracted conflicts. Besides, the measures on stabilizing the situation in Afghanistan and humanitarian aid from Kazakhstan for this country were discussed. Humanitarian aid that Kazakhstan plans to provide includes financing of the construction of schools, hospitals, roads and providing education for the youth of Afghanistan in Kazakhstan's universities.
Upon the completion of the meeting both sides expressed the confidence in further bilateral successful cooperation between the countries.
