Ceremony of laying flowers to Monument of Independence of Kazakhstan took place in Almaty
ALMATY. December 16. KAZINFORM /Yekaterina Ionova/ The solemn ceremony of laying flowers to the Monument of Independence of Kazakhstan took place today in Almaty. heads of the city, World War II veterans, veterans of Afghan war, representatives of social organizations including youth organizations took part in the event. They held a minute of silence in memory of all who fought for independence of their country.
'Almaty is a special city for Kazakhstan. It is a cradle of independence as our President called it', Vice Mayor of the city Serik Seidumanov said it.
He also noted positive attitude of Kazakh people and the reasons for it such as interethnic harmony, political stability and economic development. 'These three integral parts are holding the country', he added.
